WE'RE GETTING STARTED NEXT YEAR, STAY TUNED tubemaker™
… or: Christmas in a box this year, but in a tube next year! Introducing tubemaker™ —our new system for designing unique tubes from the bookbinding company Hässlers.
We don’t want to interrupt your Advent celebrations, but before you dive into preparing carp with salad and the TV starts airing the hundredth rerun of the same fairy tales, we have a quick update from the factory. Instead of a Christmas tree, we’re revving up our machines there.
This year, we have a special reason for it. December is the season of boxes and gift wrapping. And since packaging is our specialty, we really get into it every year. In our view, packaging should be of such high quality and uniqueness that it has value in and of itself—and not just in its production cost.
You know how it goes: an ordinary box gets opened, spits out its contents, and usually ends up in the trash. No one takes a picture of it or keeps it on display. But it shouldn’t be that way—whether it’s a gift or, even more so, your product. After all, the packaging is the very first encounter with the brand. It’s the first thing the customer sees, picks up, and evaluates. Unboxing—that’s pure magic. And packaging is often the last thing the customer remembers.
That’s why at Hässlers, we’ve combined our bookbinder’s obsession with detail, a team of people who live and breathe paper, and our machines, which have seen more Christmases than all of us put together. We’ve added a few modern machines and built the tubemaker™—a system for creating tubes. A simple yet precise process for anyone who doesn’t want just “any packaging” for their products, but packaging through which the brand actively engages customers.
Tubemaker™ isn’t a magic button for instant design or a set of standardized templates. Quite the opposite. Tubemaker™ combines our expertise with your vision for the final product. It’s about the decisions we make together—what product we’ll be packaging, how the tube should fit, how it should feel to the touch, and what feeling it should evoke the moment someone first twists off the cap. No catalog options like “choose pattern 7B.” It’s a dynamic process between you and the people who know what cardboard, paper, glue, and even an old Heidelberg press can achieve when handled properly. And thanks to that, you can easily put all this knowledge to use yourself.
The end result isn’t just a “tube.” It’s a unique package that your customer will keep on their desk. A tube that won’t be left out of the frame on Instagram, but will appear alongside your product as an integral part of it. The result is something that adds value to your brand and creates a more luxurious overall impression than any label could ever achieve.
This year, let Santa wrap your gifts in traditional boxes. But if you want your products to come in tubes next Christmas—tubes that will easily make it to the Christmas dinner table—get in touch with us right away in January.
Here at Hässlers, we’ll be ready—with colleagues who are masters of their craft, with machines that practically whistle “Hey, boss!” at the tubes, and with our new tubemaker™ system, which will make the whole of next year even smoother.
And even though things never completely slow down here, we wish you a wonderful holiday season full of peace and joy!
