Martin's photographs are an intimate artistic confession that has aroused enthusiasm all over the world. We had the honor to create luxury gift boxes for their limited collector's series.
Collaborating with artists is always a challenge. We love their attention to detail, their willingness to discuss and deal with the packaging as if it were a work of art itself. Because they know that the best packaging is...
Czech photographer Martin Page does not photograph wars, disasters or world events. Nevertheless, his photographs are known all over the world, where he has won more than ninety awards completely out of the attention of the Czech media. It focuses mainly on dramas taking place in our psyche. His magical images and bewitching collages, created in harmony with deep thought and perfect craftsmanship, appeal to art galleries around the world – and their visitors. This gave rise to the idea of several limited series of carefully compiled collection of images "I Found The Silence". The author wanted a perfect harmony of images, so he composed a small collection for several years. With the same thoroughness, he then searched for the appropriate packaging for his work. We are proud that he chose our workshop.
"This limited Collector's Box is the result of my endless passion for photography and the unrelenting need to share personal stories. Whether the photographs were taken at the very bottom or at the peak of my emotions, I have always recorded them through scenes of a personal diary, to which you can now have unlimited access," the photographer explains the origin of the collection and its meaning. Each print was personally signed by the author and supplemented with a numbered, gilded stamped certificate of authenticity. The price of the Collector's Box will gradually grow – the individual editions always contain only 100 pieces.
Each set of 15 large-format images is kept in an olive-grey Clamshell box measuring 522 x 380 mm made of solid 3 mm cardboard. The whole box is sophisticatedly composed of a total of 37 components, so even its assembly requires almost 40 precise actions. The complex cover is made by Van-heek Senator canvas with black matte embossing, the elaborate layered sandwich interior includes a mount for placing photos and as a detail a black satin ribbon. The photo printing is done on 100% cotton archive paper with pigment ink, which guarantees constant quality at the level of museum collections.
The new experience for us in this case was not the demanding production of 100 pieces of precisely assembled boxes, but primarily the need to repeat it in varying intervals of several weeks to the smallest detail when entering the next series. The demands on the accuracy of procedures, their optimization and preservation of the overall know-how are, of course, extraordinary for this so-called "permanently open" order. Art simply really opens up new horizons for a person. Thanks!
