A little different bookbinding production.
We present to you our family business. We felt sorry for the craft, which had almost died out, so we embarked on manual custom production. It's sometimes more challenging than we expected, but we've never regretted the decision.
Small-scale bookbinding and packaging production are a bit of a rule. Each order is unique and tends to be more demanding than the other – on time, technology, skill and ideas. We rarely make larger series and our products are usually non-standard in principle, both in construction, material and graphics. We develop a separate technology for each project, we struggle with demanding design. Large clients such as Volvo, Manasi, Rimmel or McLaren, as well as small (but extremely demanding) graphic and design studios, give us a trust that we must not disappoint. Why did we go for it and why do we believe that traditional craftsmanship still has something to say today?
The Hasslers brand has a complex history. There are entries written literally in sweat and blood when we sank to the bottom and decided to start the business again with honor. We simply believe in physical, tangible products that cannot be realized other than hard work. Our craft is not a game of numbers or words – we cut paper and canvas, we are dirty from glue, we burn our fingers with gold and we wipe greasy flour from old honest machines into our overalls. All this is probably difficult to understand nowadays. But only these best manual procedures can still create a series of beautiful boxes for McLaren, which the client can then proudly send to the whole world. At that moment, you feel a satisfaction that nothing can replace...
We are a family business. Family team. Martin leads projects and, as an architect, invents what technologies and procedures to use when. Jitka is in charge of marketing and sales. Jiří leads operations and logistics with a firm hand, Jiřina is an uncompromising accountant. They're all Pater's. All this would not have been possible without more than 50 years of technological and bookbinding experience of Mr. Jaroslav Hiršl. And without the skilful hands of Denisa, who took over the baton of handmade production from her mother Stána. Hainz always has everything calculated, Jirka tames almost every machine. And we have even more such hearts. We also consider our partners from Stockholm to be our team. Pelle is a wild Viking and we will probably never teach him ping-pong, but he is a brilliant businessman and a top project manager. And Andreas? He himself says that he is actually mainly the "older brother" of our Martin. That his main task is to give us all courage when we sometimes get a little dizzy from a demanding order for a world-famous client.
We like to work for clients who know what they want and get advice from people who have had this craft in their family almost since time immemorial. For clients who appreciate manual work and perceive the contract as a creative collaboration. This is the only way to create beautiful and exceptional products that also fulfill their purpose and serve well.
