Production for Google live

Our production is used to many things. The latest order for Google, however, was a heavier caliber for us, basically simple boxes, which, however, due to the size and specific design using magnets, required purely manual work. Production ran at rocket speeds. It could not be otherwise. The campaign with influencers in the Netherlands and Sweden starts today.

At first it looked like a routine job, interesting in that it is for the world giant Google. Enough time, a reasonable 50 pcs and for us in Hasslers quite common construction of the box in plates with magnets. But! The contracting authority in Stockholm realized out of the blue that the boxes were not enough to be ready on May 6, but that they were needed on April 28. And double the amount that must be in Google the next day, and in two different destinations – holland and Sweden. There was some communication noise in which it disappeared that the campaign with influencers starts this week!

So imagine this: it's a lot of days before the original deadline, and the phone rings in production. My colleague Pelle from Stockholm calls, explains the situation and asks: "Will you give it?" So what now, we're arguing. "Should we send the client to the arrow – Google negoogle?" asks Pelle. But that shouldn't be our hasslers gang taking the gallows term as a challenge: "Sure we will!"

The resulting product is a coated box in four-piece plates with closing on magnets. The upholstery material is printed and laminated paper, but the realization of a similar "burner" does not depend only on the production itself. The quality of cooperation with partners in the wider team is also important. In this case, we asked our colleagues from the Die Cutting Centre for express production of dies – they responded almost in a matter of hours, fired the necessary tools on the laser and installed the knives manually. The ability to fulfill the order was quickly confirmed by our other long-term partner, the Indigoprint printer from Prague. Tomáš and I agreed on two urgent deliveries of coating paper so that we could immediately start the production of internal boxes and smoothly switch to the outer plates. Everything went!

However, the focus of production lay on manual production in our team. You can't assemble a hundred such boxes in an afternoon. In addition, other orders were running at the same time, which, of course, we were not allowed to jeopardize. But Denisa, Petra, Honza, Míša and others do a great job even under stress. Thank you, we would never have made it without you! The first part of the boxes flew on Tuesday exactly as planned via courier to Stockholm, yesterday the second went to Holland. And today we may be celebrating a little. :-)

What started as a seemingly unsolvable situation, we finally managed to do again thanks to the configuration of flexible production and cooperation with like-minded partners. But as they say, experience makes perfect. Our products are always complicated. It's not enough just to press the button on the machine, or stretch the shift overnight and you're done. Basically, we create a new technology for every order – die drawings and documentation. In addition, we print, stamp and, most importantly, construct almost exclusively by hand. Of course, we prefer to work in peace. But when the "crisis" comes, we do not leave the client in the lurch. We know exactly our options. And if it's at least a little bit realistic, we'll go all in with you.
