When you want to smell, even an online campaign stands or falls with the quality of physical presentation.
Online marketing moves the world. But when he needs a proper gun – he reaches for the paper. This is how the Influencer Mailer Box for Rimmel London was created, which got us to the finals of the Beauty Global Awards 2020.
The main share of the success in the international competition is the design of our client from Great Britain – GPA Luxury. However, the complete realization of the minimalist, but demanding design of the cosmetic box is already due to our old honest machines. And people from our workshop who love their traditional craft. It was only thanks to them that the sophisticatedly designed cosmetic box with a dynamic presentation of 3 different cosmetic products received such attention.
How can the success of an online campaign of a global cosmetics brand depend on one small packaging production in the Czech Republic? Easily. Because even for those social networks so popular today, and especially when you want to engage inluencers, you mainly need an experience. No one will be fussy about the best multimedia presentation when it comes to cosmetics and you just want to smell!
Our box makes such an experience possible. And we dare say that it also intensifies. The products are hidden behind a simple outer lid that sits with minimal spacing on the cardboard platform. The main characters are inside, so even here the design strictly adheres to minimalism – also the graphics are condensed into the logo and the name of the campaign. To increase the effect, we also worked with gradual uncovering. After the lid is extended, tetrahedral plates appear held by a cuboid-shaped magnet, but the cosmetics are still hidden.
But then the boards can be easily opened with a single touch to reveal the internal dynamic three-storey architecture with stored cosmetics. Thanks to the ingenious solution, the whole structure is extremely variable, although while maintaining the accuracy of production, it is actually not so complex in terms of construction – three coated boxes glued into tetrahedral coated boards. All this in a coated box.
However, the quality of manual work, gluing and assembly is essential. Piece by piece. The graphics are embossed, the compact cover was solved with Colorplan Mist paper in the shade "off white". The interiors of the individual products consist of shape cut-outs into white foam followed by precise shape covering with the mentioned paper.
It was a series of 425 pieces, which is not a problem even for our small production. However, we were really busy with the 3-week deadline. But everything went great. And once again, we are pleased that even this demanding order has confirmed the irreplaceability of our traditional technologies and production processes in today's digital world.
