This famous hit song was sung by The Beach Boys in 1963. And why are we talking about this? Because this year in the USA surfing on a wild wave from Hässlers! 

— Klarna, Marvel, Netflix. Surfin' Roblin.

Producing for the U.S. is a ride. And delivering there, that's a finished freestyle! We know something about it. This spring, we spent several weekends glued to the radar of ocean cruises – when swedish fintech Klarna decided to attack the North American market and wanted packaging from us for a million credit cards. One of Klarna's slogans says, "Hey, hey, this bank hits different!" So it makes sense that they didn't put their products in boring envelopes. Designers from Texas designed a great interactive concept and we agreed to not only solve it technologically, but also to implement it in this gigantic load. We succeeded!

There were several variants of the packaging. We used microwave and colored cardboard from the Lessebo paper mill. However, screen printing virtuosity and strong nerves of colleagues from Protrade were also needed. In the final, everything was secured by Pavel Bárta and his team from the Grafico printing house in Opava. Getting those hundreds of thousands of products on board the ferry and the plane was really a challenge. Thanks for the help, because the wave from Roblín is already rushing again. The U.S. market is greedy!

A contract for Marvel was claimed. The design was arranged by the British agency Tomato Source from Bristol, which then commissioned the production of 126 kits for superhero influencers to us. The construction of coated boxes in boards with magnets and plywood interior, which we softened with foam lining with floclase, gave quite a hard time. As well as manual personalization. But we're pleased that our work and the special momentum that allows influencers to display and enjoy their Marvel trading cards to the fullest was also appreciated by JayShockblast from Boston. A star with 325,000 followers on YouTube. Thanks buddy!

The mecca of current streaming trends is sunny California. Where was our third contract for the USA this year. It was in California that the final flap fell behind the film Extraction 2 of the film giant Netflix starring Chris Hemsforth. In the Czech Republic, the beater was produced by Stillking films, which wanted to give all 750 crew members hand-bound scripts in leather as a souvenir. Fortunately, not human, so we were able to seize the express order without hindrance. It was a tightly sewn binding with a cover, on which, in addition to the wild film graphics, it was necessary to immortalize all 750 names. The timing was relentless, so we were probably the first in the world to want a UV printer to print digitally on the skin. But it was not possible otherwise and the result was great in the end! We are proud of both the lightning production and the fact that the entire crew, in addition to the obligatory can of Pilsen, took back to Hollywood a sample of our work.

From today's point of view, it was one challenge after another. Each of those jobs cost us nerves – especially when they rolled one after another like waves in the ocean. But we are already accustomed to treating them with the same respect as the unpredictable elements of nature. The work needs to be done as best as possible, even if the demands are high and sometimes it hurts. There is no other way. We couldn't even dare to ride those waves...
